We organized a pitching competition at our college to promote entrepreneurship and give early-stage startups a chance to participate in Eureka! 2024. We reached out to 3-4 mentors from the startup community to serve as judges and publicized the event to local startups and students. We selected 20 startups for the pitching session, where each startup presented a 2-minute pitch followed by a 3-minute Q&A with the judges. The startups had to register on both the event platform and Eureka! platform by the 29th of September to be eligible for the evaluation. After the pitching session, the winner was announced, and we collected their pitch deck for submission to E-Cell IIT Bombay for fast-tracked evaluation in the Zonals. We also offered feedback sessions for all participants and concluded the event with a felicitation ceremony for the jury and a summary speech.

This involves rallying your team to encourage friends from other colleges to start their own Entrepreneurship Cells (E-Cells). Begin by hosting a virtual icebreaker meeting with your team and taking a group photo. Post this picture on your E-Cell’s social media using a provided frame, and have each team member share it as a post or story on their personal profiles. Tag @iitbombay_ecell, use the hashtags #ecellineverycollege and #nec_ecell_iitbombay, and challenge at least two friends from different colleges to create their own E-Cells. We have crafted a strong brand identity for our E-Cell by developing a clear Vision and Mission statement that reflects our long-term goals and the actions we’ll take to achieve them. This focuses on defining clear roles within the E-Cell team to enhance efficiency and coordination. We will create a structured portfolio system, determining the number of members required for each role and specifying their responsibilities. This involves officially appointing a faculty advisor for our E-Cell to provide valuable guidance, knowledge, and support. We will draft an official letter declaring the selected faculty member as our advisor, to be signed by the college dean, associate dean, or principal, and stamped by the institution. For E-Cells with an existing faculty advisor, proof of appointment can be submitted instead. Regular meetings will be held with the faculty advisor to discuss upcoming activities and report on past events.
We identified three entrepreneurship-related problems on campus and organized a group discussion with at least 10 members to address these issues. We created a poster inviting participants to the discussion and posted it on our E-Cell’s social media, ensuring the NEC logo was included. During the discussion, we moderated the conversation and helped guide it towards meaningful solutions.
